Covid-19 Recovery Grants now open
August 11, 2020Georges River Council has launched 4 new grants to support businesses, artists and not-for-profits affected by Covid-19.
The Covid-19 Recovery Grants program is in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and aims to achieve the following;
- Provide a structured and strategic program through which funding can be allocated to meet identified community needs caused by the negative impact of the COVID-19 pandemic;
- Support local businesses to revitalize and diversify;
- Support and facilitate the development of a more liveable community and enrich community social capital through targeted and timely support to community organisations;

Make your business COVID Safe in 3 easy Steps
July 16, 2020Georges River council, with the help of the state government is looking to minimise the predicted second wave of COVID-19. In order to do this, Council and the state government needs the help of businesses within our community to become COVID safe.
To do this, NSW businesses are required to:
- Complete a COVID-19 Safety Plan
- Register as a COVID Safe business (with the NSW Government)
- Show that they are COVID Safe (download/display COVID Safe posters, consider methods for contact tracing, share with staff etc)

Note that COVID-19 Safety Plans have been designed by industry type that can also be accessed by the COVID Safe business website

Apply for a small business COVID-19 recovery grant
July 9, 2020Service NSW has grants available to small businesses who have been negatively affected by COVID-19.
If your small business or not-for-profit organisation has experienced a decline in turnover as a result of COVID-19, you may be eligible for a small business recovery grant of between $500 and $3000.
This grant helps small businesses meet the costs of safely reopening or up-scaling operations.
