Surviving the Covid-19 pandemic

Organiser: Business Connect
16 December 2020, Wednesday
5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Join us for one of our final events of 2020, in the beautiful town of Coolamon as we bring small businesses together to say farewell to the year that was, while also hearing from Small Business Owner, Rebecca McGowan from Lumela Coolamon about how she took her business online in 2020 in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
With food and beverages available, this is set to be a fabulous event.
A little about our guest speaker, Rebecca:
Inspired by the African word Lumela which means “Believe” Bec McGowan opened her regional homewares store by the same name in 2016.
Having grown up in Coolamon and raising a family who still had sporting commitments in the community Bec saw the potential in the 100 year old cottage that now houses a range of globally sourced giftware in the rural town.
With a corporate career, Bec is a self-taught business woman who self-proclaims has broken every business rule. This year she has taken her shop front online and will talk us through what was involved in this process as well as offer some practical tips for small business owners.
