NAIDOC Week Celebrations – enjoy the Indigenous Literacy Foundation’s NAIDOC week videos

Managing Director - Intraversed Pty Ltd

Intraversed are proud supporters of the Indigenous Literacy Foundation (ILF). As NAIDOC week is this week, Nov 8-14, we’re encouraging all our clients, colleagues and connections to enjoy the videos the ILF have produced to celebrate.

From the Indigenous Literacy Foundation’s Website:

“Sunday 8 November marks the beginning of NAIDOC Week, a celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, languages and histories. This week is a time to listen and learn from the voices and stories of First Nations People – who are part of the oldest living cultures on the plant.

This year’s theme, Always Was, Always Will Be, encourages us to celebrate the true history of our country. For over 65,000 years, this land has been lived on and looked after by First Nations Peoples – Australia’s first storytellers, first artists, and first explorers. We encourage everyone to take this week as an opportunity to acknowledge our shared past, and look together towards the future.”

We encourage everyone to participate in NAIDOC week activities, by attending online events, reading recommended books by indigenous authors or watching some of the great films made by First Nations writers, actors and filmmakers. We believe everyone has much to learn from the wisdom and world view of Australia’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander creators and hope that NAIDOC week gives every Australian the opportunity to enjoy, learn and support indigenous peoples.

Details about NAIDOC celebrations are available on the NAIDOC week website here.
