Today is Indigenous Literacy Day

Today, Wednesday, Sept 2nd, is Indigenous Literacy Day.

This matters to my team at Intraversed because we believe everyone should have access to what they need to succeed.

Our work strives to ensure workplaces give employees what they need to succeed. But we don’t stop there.

We support the Indigenous Literacy Foundation (ILF), an organisation committed to building literacy in Australia’s First Nations’ people. Would you like to help?

At 12.30pm on Wednesday 2 September, the Indigenous Literacy Foundation (ILF) along with Ambassador Jessica Mauboy and long-time supporter Archie Roach, invite all Australians to join their national, virtual Indigenous Literacy Day (ILD) celebrations.

Kids and community members from Tiwi Islands, Jilkminggan in the Northern Territory and Bidyadanga in Western Australia share their stories and the value of language. Cheryl Lardy reads Yu sabi densdensbad? (Can You Dance?) in Kriol.
