We’re All In this Together

I don’t know about you but I’ve really enjoyed watching the Olympics track and field. The highlight for me was watching fellow Australian Ash Moloney in the last event of the Decathlon, the 1500m run. To place third, he had to beat two other particular athletes or not finish more than 9 seconds behind them. On the last lap of the race, it looked like Ash had nothing left, but his teammate and mentor Cedric Dubler ran beside him and scream at him to keep going! It was amazing to watch.
That push and support from his fellow teammate earned him a Bronze Medal. The first time Australia has won a medal in the Decathlon!
This moment reminded me how important it is to have someone to help and support you, especially during the current situation. Things are seeming to fall apart. No one really knows what life will look like in a month. Or even a week. Uncertainty prevails.
Some of you reading this will have lost your job. Or had your hours cut back. Or had your income drop. It’s scary. It’s hard. I understand because, trust me, I’ve been there.
Who can you turn to?
Who turns to you?
We need connection now, more than ever. Take a moment to reach out to someone you love. Even if you haven’t spoken to them in a while.

Life is Tough, But You Must Be Tougher

It’s true. Starting a fitness plan will lead you on THE MOST POWERFUL personal development journey ever.

One day you’re facing big challenges. The next day you’re crushing them.. And winning everything. Then a month later… you’re tackling the next challenge, like LOCKDOWN to continue to the next level. Again and again and again. This is not only in your fitness journey but also in your career path and parenting.

Embrace it all. Because it doesn’t get easier the further you progress. The problems and challenges get bigger, but you get the opportunity to continue growing stronger and more powerful with every turn.

Sounds fun? I believe there’s nothing better than the journey!

Keep growing and stay committed to your success!

Your muscles weaken and slowly deteriorate.without use.

Fat loss and what YOU need to do!

Losing fat is not easy. If it were easy everyone would be fit and healthy. We are all busy individuals in this crazy world. Everyone needs to work, so how come some people do it better than others? The issue that comes up is human habit and comfortability. Keep in mind that this does not apply to everyone, some people work 40-50 hours/week which makes it a lot harder to get into the gym, however, you can still make it work!

It is easy to sit on the couch and watch television whilst eating ice cream, on the other hand, it requires huge mental fortitude and hard work to bring your heart to 170 BPM on the assault bike after a long day of work (the positives to this is better sleep and appetite i.e. the more you exercise the more you can eat! If you love food like myself, this is a massive bonus). The first couple of steps towards fat loss include:

Make time. Just do something! 10-15 minutes of jogging/walking, a little bit of yoga/balancing work, cooking healthy meals. Actively working towards better health and your goals.

IT’S NOT JUST BUSINESS, IT’S PERSONAL
For 15 years I’ve been focused on helping local working mums, dads, business owners and seniors improve their health. Inspiring them to do the things they thought were impossible, like run a marathon, complete a spartan race or hike a mountain.
In the past 3 years, and especially this past year with our growing family and the world pandemic, the work we do has evolved to mean so much more. Now I’m a husband and Dad. Those roles I get to play mean the world to me.
And I have a whole new level of awareness and understanding around what it means to be a busy parent, juggling the roles we play at home, at work, and doing our best to take care of ourselves and those we get to love on the journey.
It’s hard. Anyone who tells you they’ve got it all figured out isn’t being honest with you or themselves. Every day we face new challenges and get the opportunity to grow and be transformed into something more… if we’re willing to accept the gift of strength that meeting those challenges brings us.
The best is yet to come.
Look after your health while having FUN!
